Dreams with a zee
Last night I watched American Dreamz in the “Colosseum”. It is a satire made by an american for americans and about America. It amused me, how much truth the director Paul Weitz included. And I have seen “The Ape” or better a good copy. Dennis Quaid played the naiv/narrowminded President (alias Mr. P. ), who recently won the new election. American Dreamz is a TV-Show where candidates compete in singing to become a superstar, just like the german “DSDS”. Hugh Grand “takes” the role of the moderator. He is clever, mean and on the make. The main two Candidates are an afghan sleeper and a “white trash”-girl.
