A boy called Harry
Yesterday I did it, I watched “Harry Potter IV” in the cinema. And what should I say, all my missgiving became true. I always thought, the only sorcerer’s apprendice I accept is the one, Goethe wrote. I do realy hope, the book is better than the film. The first part was some kind of childish and boring with many not fitting things. They took all cliches and all kind of techniques of horrorfilming and put them in this film, at the wrong time, to the wrong place. But IMHO the biggest mistake was, not to dissolve the main task in this film, was given in the beginning.
The second part after the break was only 45 minutes long. It was some better, deeper, but was not able to give me a better impression. The film was like a drought of soda came back through my nose. Sorry, nothing for the child because of the horror and nothing for the adult because of the childish arragement.
I will give it a C- for the nice animations and effects. But by no means this is art (even if i have put it in this category)
